We are looking for a seasoned IT Manager to help build the IT foundation for reliable and secure patient care.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to be accountable for the IT function at Rhythm. This role is key to supporting a secure, productive, and efficient IT infrastructure, enabling our team to effectively provide safe and seamless care to our patients. You will collaborate closely with our Engineering Infrastructure team to ensure our systems meet the highest standards of compliance and security while supporting the overall productivity of our organization.

Overall you will…

  • Lead and own the Corporate IT compliance initiatives, specifically SOC2 and HiTrust, ensuring all IT practices align with our security requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all end-user IT requests, such as resetting credentials, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing application support.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve end-user experience and enhance security measures, ensuring a seamless and secure IT environment.
  • Lead IT initiatives that enhance safety, security, and productivity, such as implementing new technology solutions, improving processes, and training end users.
  • Oversee identity management processes, including administration of Okta and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) software including Intune and SentinelOne and ensure devices are effectively managed for security and compliance.
  • Administer physical network infrastructure, including setting up and maintaining networking devices, managing firewalls, and monitoring network performance in Brooklyn NY and Rockville MD locations.
  • Foster a culture of information security through education and user facilitation

Within 1 month you will…

  • Audit and documented existing IT resources, including user access, hardware, software, costs, and payment methods.
  • Collaborated with current IT resources to take over responsibilities for managing new user onboarding and offboarding.
  • Assume responsibility for Identity Management processes in Okta, including managing access controls and reviewing security configurations.

Within 3 months you will…

  • Lead the development of a comprehensive 12-month security improvement plan, identifying key priorities, resource requirements, and timelines to enhance the overall security posture while maintaining operational efficiency and optimizing costs.
  • Built a proactive IT support model, including self-service resources and improved response times, resulting in increased user satisfaction and fewer incidents.
  • Conduct a thorough review of the physical network infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement and proposing action plans.

Within 6 months you will…

  • Trained end users on best practices for IT security and productivity, ensuring alignment with compliance requirements and promoting a culture of security awareness.
  • Implemented core IT best practices around Access Management, Device Management and Information Security.
  • Led the IT component of a SOC2 review.
  • Implemented an enhanced Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution, improving the security and monitoring of both company-owned and user-owned devices.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in an IT role, with at least 3+ years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • Proven experience with SOC2 and HiTrust controls and applying NIST SP 800-171 framework.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage the IT function for an organization, serving as the primary IT resource.
  • 5+ years of recent experience managing Microsoft 365 accounts, including Entra, Purview, SharePoint, and InTune.
  • Experience managing MDM platforms to ensure the security of both company-owned and user-owned devices.
  • Strong knowledge of physical networking devices, including experience configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and managing network security.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, able to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Location & Compensation

This is a hybrid role which is expected be in our Rockville Maryland office at least two days a week and will involve day travel to our office in Brooklyn NY about once a month.

  • Base Salary $125,000 - $160,000 depending on experience
