As we continue to innovate and expand our offerings, we are seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products.

About the Role

The Product Engineering team is one of two teams responsible for building and maintaining our core engineering product: the Rhythm Platform, a health care platform to manage Cardiac Remote Monitoring clinics. As an engineering manager, you will be responsible for the day to day operations of a team of about seven engineers ensuring clear alignment and delivery across the team on its goals.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Manage a team to deliver results by dividing and balancing work between team members ensuring that results meet Enterprise Applications standards
  • Project Management: Run the spirit planning process for your team, identifying responsible engineers and working with team members while they scope and plan their upcoming sprint tickets
  • Product Management: Understand product goals and translate into engineering actions
  • Communication: Communicate directly with the Director of Engineering, Product Managers and Executives
  • Mentorship: As a manager you mentor other team members in technical delivery, process analysis, and improvement
  • Autonomy: Delivers and effectively prioritizes projects assigned with clear scope
  • Execution: Personally deliver on urgent implementations and participate in code reviews

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of combined hands-on experience with React and Node.js building web apps
  • 2+ years of hands on experience with TypeScript
  • 2+ years of experience of management experience either as a Engineering Manager or Engineering Team Lead
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate concisely and effectively with non technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with peers to write, review, and provide feedback on technical design proposals and participate in and contribute to code/configuration reviews.
